Merlin Spoonbender

Merlin Spoonbender – head wizard and captain of the broomstick racing team. The boringly best at everything!

Bully Bogeywort is my worst enemy. He’s a cheat and a bully, who is always up to no good.

Jake Frogfreckle – my best friend. He’s great!

Nippy the Nipperbat is our class pet. He’s very sweet and helpful – especially if you’ve forgotten to do your homework!

Norris the Nipperbat – Magic School’s Wizardball mascot. He caused me so much trouble at one time – but he’s so cheeky and funny, I’ve forgiven him.

Colin Cockroach – a good friend – he loves pets and has a cat AND a python at home!

Hattie Toadtrumper is a friendly blonde witch who always wears her hair in two long plaits.

Carly Catstail – she's best friends with Lucy. They love giggling and gossiping together.

Lucy Lizardlegs – she's best friends with Carly. They love giggling and gossiping together.

Pippi Prowlcat is very clever, although her parents are super–strict!

Mrs. MacLizard – the head teacher of Magic School. Don’t be put off by her horrible black stumpy teeth – she’s very nice really!

Mr. Goosepimple – my class teacher. He’s secretly afraid of the dark, but don’t tell anyone!
